“It’s an honor to be recognized for our sustainability efforts and supplier performance by a company that sets such a high standard for these areas,” said Christoph Gahn, Vice President, Urethane Chemicals  North America, BASF. “At BASF, we strive to deliver reliable, top-quality products that are always on-specification.”

BASF was selected as the recipient of the Corporate Global Sustainability Award based on the following criteria:

Completed Johnson Controls’ Sustainability Rating questionnaire, which measures a company’s environmental impact, and achieved 80 out of 85; and

In addition, the Silver 2014 North American Supplier Performance Award that BASF received was based on its top performance in the areas of quality, logistics, development, technology and service to Johnson Controls’ Automotive Seating business, to which BASF supplies polyurethane systems and urethane chemicals.
