High-performance air filtration
Air filtration performance standards are on the rise in many parts of the world, with increasing amounts of air-borne suspended particulates detected everywhere. Pressured to improve product quality and production process and reduce costs for greater competitiveness, air-filter manufacturers have relied greatly on BASF materials to bring about these benefits. The material traps dirt and debris but allows optimum airflow to pass through.
BASF Elastocast® polyurethanes are used primarily as gaskets to bond paper filters together and prized for their superior adhesion and sealing properties, together with other significant manufacturing advantages.
Ultrason® polysulfone, Elastollan® TPU, Ultramid polyamide and Ultradur® polyester can be extruded to make nonwoven filter media.
